About Kristina Parsons
Kristina Parsons is the Leon Levy Associate Curator at the Jewish Museum. Her research centers on twentieth century design and material culture, with a focus on fashion. In addition to Modernity and Opulence: Women of the Wiener Werkstätte, recent exhibitions include Overflow Afterglow: New Work in Chromatic Figuration (2024), Mood of the moment: Gaby Aghion and the house of Chloé (2023), and New York: 1962-1964 (2022), for which she contributed essays and interviews to the related catalogues. Previously, she worked at the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum on exhibitions including Items: Is Fashion Modern? (2017) and Underground Modernist: E. McKnight Kauffer (2020). She has taught at Parsons School of Design and Marymount Manhattan College and continues to lecture at institutions across New York.
