Food writer Linda Dangoor has always been interested in how countries develop their cuisines over time, specifically how trade and the movements of people play a crucial role in that development. In this presentation, following her fascinating introductory talk, Linda takes us step-by-mouthwatering-step through two Iraqi-Jewish dishes inspired by the above topics.
Linda Dangoor
Linda Dangoor is a designer, painter, ceramicist, and a food writer. In the design field she has created products for the gift market both in Paris and in London. She is also the author of two cookbooks, Flavours of Babylon, an exploration and celebration of the flavours and recipes of her Baghdadi heritage, and From the Tigris to the Thames, part memoir and part cookbook where she interweaves recipes with personal reflections on the idea of home and belonging.
