William Tyler
Is Democracy in Decline?

Wednesday 5.11.2025

How to watch

This lecture starts on 5 November at 5:00pm (UK).

Summary

The first in a two-part presentation in which we look at the different forms democracy has taken over both time and place. The second part examines the state of democracy today. Many commentators are taking an end-of-enlightenment view of democracy. Are they right to talk about democracy’s decline or has its decline, even death, been greatly exaggerated?
