Trudy Gold
The Jewish World on the Outbreak of WWII

Wednesday 3.09.2025

Summary

An examination of the 1930s, a very dark time in European history. The impact of World War I and the consequent economic, social, and political pressures led to the polarisation of society and politics. Once again, Jews were a targeted minority, both in Europe and America. British-mandated Palestine could have offered a solution, but the British government decided to give into pressure and virtually closed the doors. This is the story.
