How to watch

This lecture starts on 23 February at 5:00pm (UK).

Summary

The two giants of Modernism, Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) and Henri Matisse (1869–1954), might be described as “frenemies.” Locked into an intense and occasionally rancorous rivalry over more than half a century, they frequently inspired each other’s best and most innovative work.
